You may

What meals are included?
Pre-Conference Workshop:
Breakfast and breaks included. Lunch and dinner are on your own. (The
HDI Support Center Director course includes lunch.)
Conference Package:
Breakfast (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
Lunch (Wednesday, Thursday)
Morning and Afternoon Beverage Breaks
Dinner – on your own
What are HDI’s payment policies?
HDI accepts Visa, MasterCard, or American Express for conference payment. Billing is also available and invoices are payable upon receipt. Pre-payment (or a federal government purchase order) is required prior to conference attendance.

What are HDI’s cancellation policies?
All cancellations must be made in writing. You may cancel without penalty until September 3, 2010, after which a $150 cancellation fee will be charged. No-shows and cancellations after September 17, 2010, will be charged the full conference rate. Cancellation policy applies to both conference and pre-conference workshop registrations.
How can I tell you about my special physical/dietary needs?
Vegetarian meals/items will be available at all conference food functions. If you have additional physical or dietary needs that need to be addressed, please call 719.785.5351 prior to September 15, 2010 and we will be happy to try to accommodate your request.
Can I send someone in my place, if I can no longer attend?
Yes, you may substitute at any time before receiving your conference materials on-site. If possible, knowing the replacement’s name, title and address prior to attending the conference helps facilitate a smooth registration substitution.
I am an HDI member, are there any membership discounts?
Yes, all HDI Silver members and above receive $100 discount off the conference registration fee and $100 off the 3-day and 2-day pre-conference workshops.
I’ve attended in the past, are there any alumni discounts?
Yes, alumni to any HDI conference receive an alumni discount of $100.
Is there an early bird discount?
The $100 early bird discount ends August 6, 2010.
Can I apply the early bird discount to a pre-conference workshop?
Discounts may only be applied to the Conference Registration Package.
Can I bring a guest to any sessions or keynotes?
Only registered conference participants will be allowed to attend conference sessions or keynote presentations.
What time is check-in and on-site registration?
The on-site registration/information booth will be open during the following hours:
- Sunday, October 3 | 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
- Monday, October 4 | 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
- Tuesday, October 5 | 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday, October 6 | 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday, October 7 | 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday, October 8 | 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
In what format will I get my conference handouts?
Conference attendees will receive:
- A conference bag designed to hold your conference materials
- Proceedings Manual (all conference handouts)
- Conference Badge (entrance into all conference keynotes, sessions, expo and receptions)
- Conference/Reception meal tickets

Are there any special conference hotel rates? How do I make my hotel reservations?
Discounted rates are available to conference participants.
Reserve your room: $159.00 single/double occupancy
All conference activities will take place at the
InterContinental Miami. Discounted rates are available to
conference attendees.
Reserve your room by September 13 for the $159.00 single/double occupancy
conference rate. To make reservations, please call 866.577.3753 and reference the HDI Service
Management Conference rate.
Hotel sleeping rooms will be held at special conference rates until
September 13, 2010, (or until they sell out) and will be based upon availability after this date. A first night
deposit is required and will be charged to your credit card. Reservations must be cancelled 48
hours prior to arrival to avoid forfeiting the deposit.

How much does parking cost at the hotel?
Parking at Miami InterContinental is $34 per day.
What should I wear to attend the conference?
HDI encourages you to dress business casual in order to enjoy this roll-up-your-sleeves conference.
What is the weather like?
The average temperature is 80-85 during the day with a low of 70s in the evening.
How far is the hotel from the airport?
The hotel is 7.5 miles from the Miami International Airport, and 25 miles from Fort Lauderdale International Airport. A taxi from Miami International is approximately $25.
